Welcome to J’s and B’s, a Church of England multi-generational congregation based in Fenham. Close to the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, we are a Church that welcomes all, with no exceptions. St. James’ and St. Basil’s is a great place to enjoy Cafe, Gardens and Music. Sing with our open to all choir, or hire the lovely Arts and Crafts Church Hall.
Church

Cafe
Cafe is an ever popular meeting point for locals and visitors alike. We serve a selection of home made cakes and soups alongside bacon or sausage sandwiches and a cheese scone. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are also available. Please ask if you need high chairs, bottle warmers or baby changing facilities.

Gardens
The beautiful memorial gardens at St. James’ and St. Basil’s are a lovely place to spend time and reflect. The gardens are maintained by a team of volunteers supported by professional gardeners, who gather on the first Sunday of the month to identify and plan work that needs to be done.

J’s and B’s is a magnificent venue for music making. Ask about our early years music programme. Join us for the Master Musicians, local Heroes, Jazz and Organ concert series, or try out J’s and B’s singers, our open to all choir with a focus on classical music in the ideal acoustic of J’s and B’s.
Church Hall
Hire the lovely Grade 2 Listed J’s and B’s Arts and Craft Church Hall for wedding receptions, parties and other events. St. James’ and St. Basil’s Church hall is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Use our online booking form to make enquiries.
