Andy May Trio
Three award-winning musicians from Newcastle – Northumbrian piper Andy May (Jez Lowe and The Bad Pennies, Baltic Crossing), guitarist Ian Stephenson (Kan, Baltic Crossing) and fiddler Sophy Ball (422, Bottle Bank Band) – come together as the Andy May Trio to play high energy instrumental folk, inspired by the music of their native North East.

While Coronavirus guidelines prevent us from holding musical events within St. James’ and St. Basil’s Church, we are allowed to enjoy music in the gardens. We would like to thank our neighbours for agreeing to let us explore this new low key format. There are no admission charges, though any and all donations to the musicians are appreciated.
Social distancing
People will be expected to socially distance as appropriate. Please avoid sitting in large family or friendship groups, as it’s not in the spirit of what we are trying to do, and could invite external criticism / or even a request for us to disperse.
