We have a lovely Grade 2 Listed Arts and Crafts Church Hall at St. James’ and St. Basil’s.

Following the Covid19 Lockdown period , the Church Hall will reopen from the 13th July. Use of the Hall will be subject to additional Risk Assessments and Restrictions on Use which may change from time to time inline with Government Restrictions and Guidance. Please get in touch to find out more.

Please note the Church Hall is classed as a ‘multi user community facility’ and not a ‘place of worship

The main hall is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, and the toilets include baby changing facilities. The Church hall has a stage, a large kitchen and is suitable for groups of up to 120 people. The Upper Room is a separate space suitable for smaller groups of up to 20. The hall is currently used as a nursery, by Cubs and Scouts, and even for Zumba classes.

Please note, we no longer accept cash payment for Church Hall bookings. 

The Parish Church Hall was built around 1931, probably by E E Lofting. The Hall is single storey and built of Sandstone with Lakeland slate roof tiles.
