Worship and Church Services and Prayer at J's and B's

Services at J’s and B’s

All are welcome at the Sunday Parish Communion service. The congregation is diverse in age, gender and ethnicity; the music with the wonderful Walker organ includes both traditional hymns and more modern songs. The liturgy is Common Worship Holy Communion Order One in a modern Catholic/central Anglican style.  Our monthly All Age Communion Services offer inclusive worship for everyone, and a children’s area in the church is always stocked with toys, games and puzzles. Hot and cold drinks are available after services.

Evening prayer

Twice termly, we host Choral Evensong with the Chamber Choir of Dame Allan’s School and Fenham Ensemble. It is an opportunity to bring to God all the things on our mind at the end of the day. Choral Evensong is one of the jewels of the 1662 Prayer Book, a reflective service led largely by the choir and the minister.

We are a wheelchair and pushchair accessible church, with plenty of parking. We offer an induction hearing loop, and accessible toilets with baby changing facilities. You will be welcomed at the door, and one of the welcomers will be available throughout the service if you have questions or need help.
