Studying and meeting together is at the heart of our Christian lives
We Gather together as the people of God to learn more about the faith we profess, we do this by studying Church history, theology, and primarily through the study of Scripture. Here at J's & B's, we gather together through the year to study as a church. During the seasons of Advent and Lent, we gather in preparation for the great seasons of Christmas and Easter. These studies tend to be thematic, looking at stories and scriptures that aid our worship and learning as we journey through those seasons, building our expectations as we look forward to those celebrations of Christ's life.
During the rest of the year we gather still, these studies can be on a variety of subjects. we gather usually around food, and after sharing in food and fellowship we take time to study and learn together
Advent 2024
As part of our preparation for the birth of the Christ Child will be studying together the Mother Mary using Eugene H. Peterson's study books. we will be meeting at the Curate's Wednesdays beginning with a shared simple meal at 6:30 pm. The book is not compulsory for the study but they are designed to be coloured in and annotated if you would find that helpful. There is a sign-up sheet in the church if you wish to join these studies or purchase the book for £5.
